NOTE: When you know you will be dimming neon, it has always been recommended that you install the next size up neon transformer. For example, if your neon load calls for a 7,500V transformer, install the next size up. For this example, the next size up neon transformer from 7,500V would be a 9,000V transformer. Reason being, when you are dimming, you want an extra punch of power at the dim-end so that you will get full consistent dimming throughout the tube/s. If your sign calls for a 15,000V transformer, which is the largest transformer made, you might consider breaking up the neon into two smaller transformers.
